Connecting with Care: Supporting Student Mental Health and Well-Being Within Your Role

Mental health is integral to student success and overall well-being, and can be influenced by a myriad of individual, social, institutional and systemic factors.  When students experience challenges to their mental health, they often seek support from UM staff with whom they are most often in contact…you!

If you have questions about how to best support students, how to define your boundaries of care and stick to them, how to effectively refer students to available resources, and how to take care of yourself in the process - this conversation series is for you!

Join David Ness and Arlana Vadnais from Student Counselling and Wellness to discuss common student mental health concerns and answer your questions about mental health resources and situations you’ve encountered.
