Hello everyone,
Thank you to those who have taken the time to share feedback on the new Academic History reports in Argos. We have heard clearly about the impact the new format and load times are having on advising workflows, particularly during student meetings and high‑volume periods. Despite significant efforts to address concerns, the team has determined that technical limitations prevent us from improving load times in Argos.
Based on this feedback, we will be re-activating the Aurora Classic Academic Histories (previously called Advisor Transcripts) effective March 9th.
What this means
Why we are making this change
While the new reports contain the required data, feedback consistently indicated that:
Reverting to Aurora Classic is an interim measure to support service continuity, reduce friction in daily work, and ensure students continue to receive timely support
What’s next?
We will continue working on a long-term solution to replace the Academic History reports, using your feedback to inform next steps to replace the unsupported SSB8 functionality.  While we continue using Aurora Classic for a little longer, IST will be reviewing access and security risks and increasing our security posture. We will communicate again before any future transition.
As always, thank you for your professionalism, adaptability, and for taking the time to share thoughtful feedback.
If you have questions or encounter any issues accessing Aurora Classic Academic Histories, please report an issue from this site.
Take care,

Elfie Smith, BComm, MA (she/her)

The University of Manitoba campuses and research spaces are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Dene and Inuit, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
UM recognizes that the Treaties signed on these lands are a lifelong, enduring relationship, and we are dedicated to upholding their spirit and intent. We acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past and the present. With this understanding, we commit to supporting Indigenous excellence through active Reconciliation, meaningful change, and the creation of an environment where everyone can thrive. Our collaboration with Indigenous communities is grounded in respect and reciprocity and this guides how we move forward as an institution.
