It was lovely to speak with many of you at the last UMAE meeting October 29! The intake for the Winter 2026 offering of EDIA 0100: Foundations is open now. Please share the announcement below with your networks, and consider taking the course yourself if you haven’t already!

Join almost 400 UM community members who have strengthened their commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility by taking EDIA 0100: Foundations, a course offered exclusively for UM staff, students, and faculty at no cost to learners. 

 

Offered through the Division of Extended Education in collaboration with the Office of Equity Transformation, this 18-hour course uses a flexible learning format. Learning happens through a mix of in-person and online components combining individual study and group activities, led by supportive instructors. Learners will receive a digital badge on successful completion. The course also serves as the pre-requisite course for the Micro-certificate in EDIA, a three-course program for everyone at UM.

 

EDIA 0100: Foundations will run January 12 to April 26, 2026. Sign up between November 10 and December 1 to enter the lottery for the next offering.
