Hi Robin and Alejandra,
I just saw the calendar invite for the October 29th meeting.
The International Centre would like to promote International Education Week to your group and ask for help in promoting the events to students and staff. Can you share this information by email, or should
someone from the IC talk about it at the meeting?
Here is what we would like to share:
International Education Week at UM takes place on November 17-21. This is a global celebration of the value of international education and the connections it fosters. IEW is an opportunity to highlight UM’s
commitment to global learning, showcase the contributions of our international students and scholars, and engage our community in meaningful cross-cultural experiences.
The International Centre will be hosting a series of events during the week. Details can be found on our IEW webpage:
umanitoba.ca/international/iew. There we have a list of all confirmed events, and continue to add to the calendar.
Here’s how the advising community can get involved:
If any unit/faculty would like to collaborate, promote an event, or learn more about IEW, please ask them to contact me or Crystal Stewart.
Thanks!
Fanny
