Message from Laurie Schnarr, Vice-Provost (Students)

Dear students,

As you may be aware, the Province has declared a state of emergency due to rapidly developing wildfires in the Thompson region, Snow Lake, and surrounding areas. We know that many University of Manitoba students have personal connections to those affected, and we want you to know that we are here for you.

If you need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. The University offers a variety of resources to help during this challenging time:

We are committed to supporting you through this difficult period. Our thoughts are with all Manitobans impacted by the wildfires, and with those who have loved ones living, working, or studying in the affected areas.

Be well,

….Laurie
