Message from Dr. Michael Benarroch, President and Vice-Chancellor and Diane Hiebert-Murphy, Provost and Vice-President (Academic)

Dear University of Manitoba students,

Thank you to all who have participated in the consultation process for the University of Manitoba’s strategic plan through the town hall and community consultation sessions.

We are now entering the second stage of the consultation process, and we want to engage with you further through a student survey.

This online survey has been informed by the discussions in the first phase, and it provides an opportunity to dive deeper into the UM community’s thoughts and goals about the university’s future.

The survey contains 9 open-ended questions—you may answer as many or as few questions as you wish. There is also the opportunity to answer a series of optional demographic questions to help us understand the community voices heard in the process. The anticipated time to complete this survey is 10 to 20 minutes.

Participation in the survey is completely voluntary and is intended to be anonymous; should any identifying data be collected in participant responses to the open-ended questions, it will be held in strict confidence.

The survey is open from March 16 to March 31.

To engage in the survey, please visit https://higheredstrategies.questionpro.ca/UM-strategic-plan-s.

The survey will close at 11:59 p.m. CST on March 31.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. We need to hear all your voices to enhance our scholarship, grow our research enterprise, elevate the student experience, advance Reconciliation and deepen our community engagement.

Sincerely,
