Registration will soon begin for Summer Term 2023
Read on for important information on registration access times, registration eligibility, waitlists, and further resources.

Registration Times
Registration Access Times are available through your Aurora Account. You will be able to view your time on
March 20th, 2023.
To view your registration time:

Log into Aurora.

Select ‘Enrolment and Academic Records.’

Select ‘Registration & Exams.’

Select ‘Registration Time and Status.’

Choose the academic term from the dropdown menu, your registration access time for the selected term will be displayed.
Registration
Eligibility
Before you register, it is important to ensure that you are eligible to register. Your eligibility
to register will be displayed on the Registration time and Status page in Aurora.
Your ability to register is dependent on a few items:

Your Student Status
-
Your Academic Standing
-
Whether you have any
Holds
on your account,
-
Your assigned
Registration Time.
If any of these items display a yellow triangle adjacent to them in Aurora, you need to attend to the relevant item before you register.

Initial Registration Period
The initial registration period will run from
Monday March 27th, until Thursday, March 30th.
Registration will close on Friday March 31st, until 1:00pm.
Registration will reopen on Monday, March 31st, at 1:00 pm,
and will remain open until the end of the revision period.
During the initial registration period, spaces in some high-demand courses are released each day in equal numbers to ensure fair access for all students.
Any remaining spaces and/or waitlists for these courses will be available to all students. These courses are identified in the class schedule by the following message:
“This course is subject to gradual space release.”

Waitlists
Select courses will include a
Waitlist
function, allowing students to be added to a waitlist and notified when a space becomes available. It is very important that all
students claim their U of M email account
to receive Waitlist notifications.

Students wishing to drop or change a lab must see an advisor to make the changes or else they run the risk of losing their space and ending up at the
bottom of the Waitlist.
