Message from Raman Dhaliwal, Associate Vice President (Facilities) & Chief Risk Officer
We are inviting undergraduate students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to help shape the vision for a new building at Fort Garry campus, which will replace the Dafoe Library and bring together other academic
and student spaces.
As part of the early programming and visioning process, we are hosting a discussion with Stantec, the architectural firm that will be designing this new building, to hear your ideas about the spaces, services and
experiences that would best support learning, research and student life. Your perspectives will help inform how the building can serve our campus community.
Date: Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026
Time: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Rooms 543–544, UMSU University Centre
Please
register here if you would like to attend. Light refreshments will be served. By registering we can ensure we have enough refreshments available.
This is an early opportunity to contribute, with further opportunities to engage as the project progresses.
Thank you, and we look forward to hearing your ideas.
Raman
