Dear UM students,

The Registration Revision deadline for Fall 2011 is Wednesday, September 21. Courses that are offered in Fall 2011 and courses that span Fall 2011/Winter 2012 may not be added after this date.

If you have registered for Fall 2011 courses or spanned courses in Fall 2011/Winter 2012 and you have decided not to attend, you must drop these courses by Wednesday September 21. You will be subject to all associated fees for courses in which you are registered after this date. Although you may Voluntary Withdraw from Fall Term courses until November 16 and spanned courses until March 16, you will not receive a refund of Fall Term fees if you drop the course(s) after September 21.

Courses are dropped using Aurora Student. If you are currently on Hold, please contact your faculty for assistance in dropping a course(s).

Fee Payment

Fee accounts with outstanding balances after the September 7 fee payment deadline have been assessed late fees. A further $40 late fee will be applied to accounts outstanding after September 21. Students with outstanding fee balances will be placed on Hold and may be subject to de-registration from courses that begin in Winter Term. You will not be cancelled or de-registered from Fall Term courses and will be responsible for tuition and all associated fees.

UMSU Health & Dental Plan

Deadline to Opt-Out: Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Steps…

· Check your Aurora student fee account to ensure you were assessed the health and dental fees.

· Fill out the online opt-out form. In order to opt-out you must have a plan/policy number for alternate extended coverage. (not Provincial Health or the Manitoba International Student Health insurance Plan)

· Print and hold on to the confirmation email you will receive from the auto generator when you complete your opt-out. You may be asked to provide this confirmation as proof at a later date.

· With a successful opt-out , you do not have to include payment for UMSU Health & Dental in your fee payment. If you have opted out of the plan the UMSU Health & Dental fee will be reversed off your tuition after the opt-out deadline and by the end of September.
