The University of Manitoba is dedicated to promoting vibrant, healthy living
and quality of life through programs and services. As part of this initiative, the U of M community will continue its commitment to healthy active living by presenting the 23rdnd annual Sneakers in
motion Day. Sneakers in motion Day will take place on Thursday June 7th at 12pm on the Fort Garry and the Bannatyne campuses.

motion Day will be held at the:
Hosted by the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, Sneakers
in motion Day is a fun and exciting event that includes a short or long walk around campus, prize give-a ways, entertainment and a healthy lunch.
Prizes will be awarded to groups and individuals who participate in Fort
Garry Campus event activities and dress in costume. At the Bannatyne Campus, 50/50 tickets will be sold and proceeds will go to the Osborne House Inc., a safe and supportive environment for women and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse. Walk
participants on both campuses are asked donate their gently used shoe. Shoe donations will be given to the women and children of Osborne House who are striving to become or remain active during this difficult transition period in their lives.
Lunch tickets for Sneakers in
motion Day are $6.00 and they must be pre-purchased at the Answers Booth in University Centre, the Frank Kennedy Centre Customer Service Desk. New this year lunches can also be purchased by completing and emailing the lunch order form (with credit card
information) to event organizer, who will arrange delivery of tickets to Fort Garry campus offices only.
At the Bannatyne Campus, tickets can be purchased at the Joe Doupe Centre
and the Bookstore. Deadline for purchasing lunch tickets is Monday June 4th 12:00pm (noon).

This year, we invite each department to appoint a "Wellness Champion."
Wellness Champions facilitate event information and coordinate ticket sales among staff in their department.
