You may be aware – I’ve registered as a candidate for the St. Norbert Ward in the upcoming civic election.
I just couldn’t do another election sitting around a table with many of you - planning how to ‘educated’ candidates on AT issues !! That and a combination of other situations have resulted in me realizing - ‘never say never’ – and motivating me to take this very bold step outside the normal comfort zone.
If you have some free time on Tuesday – please pop by our Campaign Office Open House– check out my website – www.JaniceLukes.ca – and if you have more free time in the fall – I welcome any volunteer help.
I know I can confidently say this from my past 14 years’ experience – when elected – I know there will be no other elected official that will work harder than I will - to move forward active, accessible and age friendly transportation issues. Is this a call for your help in putting me on the other side of the table at city hall ??
– for sure it is. Ruthless self-promotion seems to be part of democracy – it is what it is.
