TRAFFIC LIGHTS TURNED ON NEAR FORTWHYTE

A NEW set of traffic lights is now working at McGillivray Boulevard and Brady Road, near FortWhyte Alive.

A new entrance to the wildlife preserve and recreation area is expected to open next to the intersection this winter.

“These four-way lights increase safety and connectivity in Winnipeg’s active transportation network and will provide much-needed crossing controls for pedestrian, cycling and vehicular traffic at this very busy intersection,” Coun. Janice Lukes, chairwoman of the City of Winnipeg’s public works committee, said in a news release Friday morning.
