Hello everyone,

Please be advised that the eligibility table in the UMGF Guidelines and Award Holder’s Guide is based on the start date of the award. Therefore, for the 2015-2016 UMGF competition, students who started their Master’s program in January 2014 or earlier are NOT eligible and students who started their Ph.D. program in January 2012 or earlier are NOT eligible.

These are consistent with the regulations which stipulates that students may only receive UMGF funding in the first two years of their Master’s program and in the first four years of their Ph.D. program. If awarded, students who are already in their program are strongly encouraged to start their UMGF on the anniversary date of their admission term.
