UM STRIKE RELIEF FUND
$1,000 for full-time studies and $500 for part-time studies · For Master's & PhD students
Eligibility: Due to the strike, some students may be experiencing unexpected financial hardship. Some examples of requests for support that are a direct result of the strike could include: additional housing costs due to the extension of the fall term, additional housing costs due to a roommate leaving, resulting in a student having to pay extra rent, loss of wages, additional food costs over the holiday break due to the extension of the fall term, unexpected childcare expenses due to the extension of the fall term and unexpected flight arrangements/changes.
Deadline: The application form is available in the Aurora Student Portal, and will close once funds are depleted.

OCEAN'S NORTH SCHOLARSHIP
$80,000 (i.e., $20,000 in each year of a four-year PhD program in Economics- Economics and Society Stream) · For PhD students
Research Field(s): Community Economic Development in the Canadian North. Successful applicants will work in conjunction with Ocean's North to shape their PhD research.
Deadline: December 20, 2021, for acceptance for the fall term the following year

PIERRE ELLIOTT TRUDEAU FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Up to $40,000 per year for three years to cover tuition and reasonable living expenses, and up to $20,000 per year for three years, as a research, networking, and travel allowance · Applicants must be already accepted into or in year one, two, or three of a full-time doctoral program in the humanities or social sciences
Research Field(s): Doctoral work must relate to at least one of the Foundation’s Four Themes: Human Rights and Dignity; Responsible Citizenship; Canada and the World; and, People and their Natural Environment

One-time grants of $15,000 · For Master's & PhD students

Description: The Margaret McNamara Education Grants (MMEG) award education grants to female full-time students from developing countries who are at least 25 years old and are studying full-time at universities in Canada and the United States. KOREAN CANADIAN SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of incredible donors, KCSF is fortunate to be able to award up to 30 scholarships worth over $130,000 in total scholarship amounts this year.
