I’m pleased to inform you that the SSHRC Doctoral awards competition for the 2018-2019 academic year is now open!
For SSHRC eligible departments – please see attached memo from our Awards Officer, Rowena Krentz, regarding this year’s competition. I have also attached the departmental ranking sheet, and memo from SSHRC, for
your convenience.

Please note that the deadline for submission of recommendations from the departments to the Faculty of Graduate Studies is
Friday, November 3rd, 2017. Please ensure your departmental deadline is set in advance of November 3rd, 2017 in order to submit your recommendations to our office by that date.
An advertisement for this competition will be posted in the Graduate Student Weekly email that is sent out to all graduate students this week, and the advertisement will continue to run into September.
Please also note that Rowena is away from the office for a few more weeks. In the meantime, if you or any of your students, have any questions at all regarding the SSHRC Doctoral competition, please send your
inquiry to me in her absence. I am happy to assist you until Rowena’s return!
