EMERGENT BIOSOLUTIONS TRAINEE DEVELOPMENT AWARD
Award valued at a maximum of $500 · For full-time Master’s & PhD students 
Research Fields(s): Must be affiliated with CHRIM or be non-CHRIM that have successfully completed the GPD program
Details: Will provide support to professional development.  Awardees may be asked to give a presentation on their experiences at a future CHRIM trainee event

Details: The Grant-in-Aid (GIA) program provides operating funds to support important, pertinent, novel research in the areas of heart disease and/or stroke. This support may be provided for a maximum of three years.

Research Field(s): Indigenous scholars whose traditional and ancestral territories are in Canada, commitment to working in heart and/or brain research.
Details: Stipends will enable Indigenous trainees to focus on their research studies and engage with mentors as part of their training.

VANIER CANADA GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
Maximum $50,000 per year for three years · For PhD students
Research Field(s): Health, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, Humanities (i.e., CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC).
Details: Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students, the Vanier CGS program is designed to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and provide a significant financial award to assist in their studies at Canadian universities. Vanier Scholars demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement. Students must submit an application and be nominated by their Department Head to be considered at the institutional level. Successful applications at the institutional level are then forwarded to Vanier to compete at the national level for a scholarship.
