Details: Open to Canadian and International graduate students enrolled in full-time Master’s or Doctoral programs at the University of Manitoba who are travelling outside of Winnipeg to undertake research for their thesis or practicum

Details: Open to students who are conducting or have proposed to conduct research in the area of nutraceuticals. Preference will be given to a student who is proposing research in the area of nutraceuticals and their effects on cancer.

VANIER CANADA GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarship valued at $50,000.00 per year for three years · For Ph.D. Students
Research Fields(s): Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and/or Engineering (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities (SSHRC) 
Details: The Government of Canada launched the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program in 2008 to strengthen Canada's ability to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and establish Canada as a global centre of excellence in research and higher learning. Vanier Scholars demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities, natural sciences and/or engineering and health. Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students are eligible to be nominated for a Vanier Scholarship. Please visit the Vanier website for all relevant details

DEAN OF GRADUATE STUDIES STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT PRIZE
Prize valued at $1,000.00 · For Master’s and Ph.D. Students 
Research Fields(s): Unrestricted
Details: Open to students enrolled full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Graduate Studies for at least one year at the time of nomination who have displayed intellectual and academic attainment at a high standard; have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in their current program; have volunteered within and outside their current role as a student; have demonstrated strong leadership abilities and personal integrity; have shown commitment to improving the quality of life for others; and have shown outstanding performance and service in teaching and/or mentoring. Nominations will be made by the student’s department.
