Details: The Government of Canada launched the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program in 2008 to strengthen Canada's ability to attract and retain world-class doctoral students
and establish Canada as a global centre of excellence in research and higher learning. Vanier Scholars demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities, natural sciences and/or
engineering and health. Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students are eligible to be nominated for a Vanier Scholarship. Please visit the Vanier website for all relevant details

Details: Open to students enrolled full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Graduate Studies for at least one year at the time of nomination who have displayed intellectual
and academic attainment at a high standard; have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in their current program; have volunteered within and outside their current role as a student; have demonstrated strong leadership abilities and personal integrity; have shown commitment
to improving the quality of life for others; and have shown outstanding performance and service in teaching and/or mentoring. Nominations will be made by the student’s department.
