JAMES GORDON FLETCHER PHD FELLOWSHIP FOR RESEARCH IN INDIGENOUS ISSUES
$16,000 · For PhD students
Research Field(s): This fund specifically serves to stimulate, support, and encourage research in Indigenous issues by Ph.D. students in any Department at the University of Manitoba. Student must be conducting research in a field pertaining to Indigenous communities and persons.

SHEU L. LEE FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP IN ONCOLOGY RESEARCH
4 awards at $3,000 each · For Master’s & PhD students
Research Field(s): Conducting or plan to conduct research in the area of Oncology that is consistent with the strategic priority areas set out in the National Strategy for Cancer Control; prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care. Preference will be given to students from rural Manitoba, which will be determined by the location of the high school from which the student graduated.

$80,000 (i.e., $20,000 in each year of a four-year PhD program in Economics- Economics and Society Stream) · For PhD students
Research Field(s): Community Economic Development in the Canadian North. Successful applicants will work in conjunction with Ocean's North to shape their PhD research.
Deadline: December 20, 2021, for acceptance for the fall term the following year

PIERRE ELLIOTT TRUDEAU FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Up to $40,000 per year for three years to cover tuition and reasonable living expenses, and up to $20,000 per year for three years, as a research, networking, and travel allowance · Applicants must be already accepted into or in year one, two, or three of a full-time doctoral program in the humanities or social sciences
Research Field(s): Doctoral work must relate to at least one of the Foundation’s Four Themes: Human Rights and Dignity; Responsible Citizenship; Canada and the World; and, People and their Natural Environment
