UMGF Renewal

The minimum GPA required to renew UMGFs has been revised from a minimum
cumulative GPA of 3.50 to degree GPA effective immediately. This revision was approved by the FGS Executive Awards committee and the information has been updated on the UMGF Award Holder’s Guide.
2.
GETS (Graduate Enhancement Tri-Council Stipend)

The value of the IGSES and IGSS is increasing due to the Board of Governor’s approved increase in the international student differential fee effective Fall 2015 term. The exact value will be confirmed upon it’s availability from the
Registrar’s Office, however, these awards will increase to approximately $2,500 per term starting in the Fall 2015 term.

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships competition is now open. Kindly distribute this information to eligible students. Additional information is available on our database:

Please advise students that they may apply directly online (Research Net) without contacting our office for nomination. The nomination process will be conducted after all applications are received and the awards
selection committee evaluates and selects the applicants to be nominated to Ottawa.
