Hello everyone,

In consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies Executive Awards Committee, the following changes will be applied to UMGF policies and procedures for the next renewal process:

UMGF Award holders must maintain a degree GPA of 3.50 in order to renew their UMGF. Renewals were previously based on cumulative GPAs.

Note that UMGF renewals will be based upon GPAs in Aurora at the end of the academic year (April/May) and a satisfactory Progress Report due to FGS on June 1^st of each year.  An email will be mailed to current UMGF and MGS recipients regarding the new policy and the UMGF Award Holder’s Guide has been updated.

Kindly forward this information to faculty and staff in your unit who may find this information relevant. If you require further clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
