Research Fields(s): Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and/or Engineering (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities (SSHRC) 
Details: The Government of Canada launched the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program in 2008 to strengthen Canada's ability to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and establish Canada as a global centre of excellence in research and higher learning. Vanier Scholars demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities, natural sciences and/or engineering and health. Details: Open to students enrolled full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Graduate Studies for at least one year at the time of nomination who have displayed intellectual and academic attainment at a high standard; have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in their current program; have volunteered within and outside their current role as a student; have demonstrated strong leadership abilities and personal integrity; have shown commitment to improving the quality of life for others; and have shown outstanding performance and service in teaching and/or mentoring. HOW TO APPLY TO THE OAS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The Canadian Mission to the Organization of American States (PRMOAS) in Washington, D.C. has organized an online workshop which aims to familiarize prospective internship applicants with the operations of the Organization of American States (OAS) and to provide guidance on how to prepare a robust application for the OAS Internship Program. Key topics covered include the formulation of compelling CVs and cover letters. The overarching aim is to foster increased interest and involvement with the OAS among university students and young professionals from Canada and the United States of America.

Funding Your Research in Germany Information Session
John Paul Kleiner, from the Toronto Office  of DAAD – German Academic Exchange Service will present an information session on the German research landscape, its structure and details on programs to fund your research work in Germany or in collaboration with German colleagues.  This session will be relevant to faculty, postdocs and doctoral students in all disciplines.
