in welcoming Ignatius Mabasa to his post as the
University of Manitoba's Fall 2010
Writer/Storyteller-in-Residence. This event will
include an exclusive performance by Ignatius Mabasa,
as well as readings by students Daria
Patrie and Sean Braun,
recipients of the C.D. Howe Memorial
Foundation Fellowships.
A reception will follow. Free and open to the
public.
The reception will take place in University
College's Great Hall.

Abstracts: ICASS
International Congress of the Arctic Social Sciences |
December 15, 2010 |
ICASS, the
International Congress of the Arctic Social
Sciences, is held every three years. The seventh
congress will be held in Akureyri, Iceland, on June
22-26, 2011. The working title for ICASS VII is Circumpolar
Perspectives in Global Dialogue: Social Sciences
Beyond the IPY. A call for ICASS VII
abstracts will be available from October 1, and
those wishing to stay up to date on ICASS VII may do
so at the IASSA
website.
