Campus Safety Education Sessions

Students, staff, and faculty are strongly encouraged to attend an upcoming Campus Safety Education Session.

Creating a safe and prepared campus community is a shared responsibility. Knowing how to respond during an emergency can make an important difference, and these sessions provide an opportunity for members of the UM community to learn practical information and become more familiar with the resources and procedures available to help keep our campuses safe.

UM has partnered with the Winnipeg Police Service to offer safety education and training sessions for faculty, staff, and students on responding to active threats on campus. All members of the UM community are encouraged to participate, whether attending in person or virtually. The sessions will provide practical guidance on what to expect and how to respond in the event of a serious safety incident on campus.
