Hi everyone,

I wanted to make you aware of a critical security vulnerability affecting PHP, a technology used by a number of web-based applications and services. As per Information security guidelines (IST)Our IT team is actively assessing the impact and working through the required patching and remediation as a priority.

As a precaution while this work is underway, if your unit manages or is aware of any PHP-based website or application that is currently publicly accessible, please connect with Rady IT. Public-facing affected services should either be temporarily taken offline or have access restricted to internal users only until they have been reviewed and the appropriate security updates have been applied.

Our team has already identified several services that require attention and is coordinating the work through staging and production. We will work with the affected areas to minimize disruption while ensuring we address the security risk appropriately.

Please share this with the appropriate people in your unit, particularly anyone responsible for locally managed websites or web applications. If you are unsure whether a service may be affected, please reach out to Rady IT and we can help review it.
