The monthly Drop-in hosted by the Social Justice Hub is happening Tuesday, July 29
from 4:30 – 6:00 PM on Zoom on the topic of “Fighting Anti-Migrant Laws: Bill C-2". 

This drop-in will serve as a connection space for students and community members concerned by the proposed “Strong Borders Act”. Drop-ins are collaborative spaces for discussion, knowledge-sharing, and meeting people you might work with to take action together.
 You should attend if you want to better understand the contents of Bill C-2, its impacts, and how to fight against a bill becoming law.   

The Zoom meeting will be lightly facilitated to encourage participation. All are welcome.

Discussion questions to consider ahead of time:

Who are the different people that will be impacted by this law if passed?
Who are our constituents, allies, and opponents in fighting it?
What kinds of power do we have access to?
When and how can we influence the legislative process?
Why is this bill being proposed now and what do we need to prepare for in the coming years?
