Hey, 

So I sent the reply to the workshop organizers (first attachment). 

I did make a painful, but I hope not too critical, mistake: when copying your emails to the cc field, I needed to grab them from Gmail and copy them to the UChicago email; I used the search box at the top of my Gmail as I always did. It seems like it has now become AI-"enhanced," which means that, besides the fact that it now annoyingly summarizes the history of our conversation instead of just giving the email, it also sometimes gets the email wrong. Specifically, it appears to remove dots from the email handles. I double-checked everything else but stupidly assumed that the functionality I relied on for years was not broken. So, if the workshop chairs would reply-all, two of your emails would bounce back (Tristan and Kiki's), in which case I'll need to write back and explain. My understanding is they won't see this unless they write back and reply all.

We are happy to inform you that your workshop proposal 3rd Workshop on Computational Humor (CHum 2027) has been accepted for co-location at NAACL for a 1-day workshop. This year we received an unusually high number of high-quality workshop proposals, and we have worked carefully to balance the accepted workshops across topics and events. We were not always able to accommodate the top preference for co-location. If there are any serious issues with your assigned conference, please let us know immediately. We cannot promise to be able to satisfy all requests, as it's a complex puzzle, but we will try.

Each of EACL, NAACL, ACL, COLING, and EMNLP has its own set of workshop chairs, and you should expect to hear soon from the workshop chairs for your assigned conference. We very much look forward to working with you!

Please respond to us to confirm your acceptance of the workshop location as soon as possible, and no later than Wednesday the 14th of October.
