Hi all,

I have completed the draft for "Workshop Topics and Content" in the Overleaf project Tristan shared (here: https://www.overleaf.com/project/6a8f1f0cc5dc0fce3fef5e40). It is 90% recycled from our previous proposals and the introduction section of the EJHR paper I just wrote with Kiki and Ruch. It seems to do the job of selling the workshop, but I am not attached to any of it, so feel free to edit/replace any of it. It seems like this year they want a shorter content description and no abstract, so I reduced everything to ~300 words. I believe we are allowed up to 100 more.

I also copied the committee list from last year - with the appropriate formatting updates.

I'll be on the road from Friday to Sunday. I'll try to get more of the sections done before then, but I'll finish what I don't when I'm back. What I can use help with especially is the diversity subsections, as well as suggestions for additional keynote invitees.

Cheers!
Ori

Alright! I will assume nobody objects to having Lydia then and write her.

She had a paper right after mine at ICCC, though she was not there (her student, Sean Kim, presented).

I think it's up to the ACL Workshop Chairs to decide which conferences
will be virtual-only and which will be hybrid, so we need to word the
invitations accordingly.  I imagine that among us we'll be able to
scrounge up enough funds to register our invited speakers for virtual
attendance, but covering in-person registration and travel/accommodation
expenses is probably out of our reach unless we get sponsorship.  (And
we should probably apply for such sponsorship as soon as we get an
acceptance notification, or even now!)

See my recent e-mail to Ryan North's agent for sample wording that
reflects the circumstances summarized above.

Regards,
Tristan
