Sorry, I seem to have cut the following out of your reminder e-mail below when I took out the information for the Child and Adult abuse registry forms you did at Clearance this year:
As per University of Manitoba Senate policy,
you are required to submit a yearly Criminal Record (including vulnerable sector screening). Please note that if you fail to obtain a Criminal Record report with the Vulnerable Sector Screening portion completed,
you will be required to re-apply, pay for and obtain the correct document. A hold may be placed on your academic record pending the receipt of any outstanding documents. Restrictions on your participation in clinical activities will be imposed until all
documents have been received and cleared by the College.

HELLO Returning DH3 Students (Class of 2026)!
I hope you are enjoying summer and keeping cool!
Please read all of the following:
Please find attached a weekly schedule for Fall 2025. As of now, unless there is a major change to the schedule I will not be updating these documents but making changes in UM Learn. As of August, please ensure that you are checking the
UM Learn schedule for changes.
All activities are in-person, however there are a couple of exceptions due to instructor availability who are doing some on-line synchronous teaching. If you wish to be in the building during these on-line sessions a classroom has been
provided for you to view your laptop. You may all want to ensure you have ear plugs if necessary.
Registration has been completed, and fees will be generated soon. The U of M has set October 1, 2025, as the deadline for Fall fee payment.
New! The upcoming Class of 2027 will be purchasing name tags. We encourage you to buy a name tag as well.

The School of Dental Hygiene will be reaching out with
further information regarding immunization. Please ensure that any forms are complete and ready for submission by the posted deadline. Students with outstanding immunization requirements may be blocked from participation in clinical activities.
Orientation attachments/videos, etc., will be available on UM Learn through your general schedule course unless specifically tied to a course and uploaded by your instructors.
As you are aware, it is necessary that you attend all Orientation events as scheduled during the first weeks of your program. Please be reminded that the School has an Attendance Policy and that the failure to meet the policy may have academic
implications for you.
Please remember that students are required to be available until the end of the final day of the scheduled examination period for your year, as well as potential additional clinical requirements (including clinical clearances).
Please consider this when making travel arrangements around these schedules.
Winter term schedule information will be circulated later in the term. For a complete list of start and end dates/holidays/exam weeks/etc. of the term, please see the U of M Academic Schedule at the following links. Please note that Dental
Hygiene has its own section/dates which differ from most other faculties/schools at the University. Note the School
will not have a Fall break.

Opening Assembly, the College/School’s official introduction of the first-year classes, will be held on September 4, 2025. Further information will be distributed later. You are welcome to attend
this event.
Be reminded that it is the responsibility of every student to obtain and maintain a University of Manitoba e-mail account (see policy at:
http://umanitoba.ca/registrar/email_policy/). According to policy, the School will not support external e-mail addresses when communicating with our students.
Students are reminded to check this e-mail account on a regular basis as it is considered the official means of communication by the School/University.
Bursary applications will be available on-line on AURORA Student (under the Student Awards and Financial Aid tab) as of mid-August until October 1. A representative from Financial Aid and Awards will be able to answer any questions about
bursaries.
