Dear D1 and D2 Students,

A new Dental Stores D1 and D2 Order Request process is now in place for the 2026-2027 academic year. Effective immediately, D1 and D2 students are no longer permitted to request items through drop-in visits to Dental Stores. All requests must be submitted using the appropriate Dental Stores Request Form.

The following request sheets have been provided for the 2026-2027 academic year:

Please review the following guidelines carefully:

1. Request Due Date

Students must enter their individual requests on the appropriate D1/D2 Dental Stores Request Sheet by 4:00 p.m. every Tuesday. Requests submitted after this deadline will not be accepted or filled.

2. Credits

Students are responsible for tracking their available credits. Dental Stores will apply available credits first, with any additional charges applied to the student's axiUm account.

3. Class Box

One student from each class is responsible for:

Picking up the Dental Stores Request Box on Friday by 11:55 a.m.
Returning it to Dental Stores by Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.

Please note:

If the Request Box and/or associated folders and envelopes are not returned by 4:00 p.m., no orders will be processed for that class during that week.

4. Broken Instruments

If you require a replacement instrument:

Place the broken instrument in your individual envelope.
A replacement instrument will be issued, and your axiUm account will be charged accordingly.
Students must remove their identification-colored rings from the broken instrument and transfer them to the replacement instrument.

Additional information:

If an instrument breaks during a preclinical lab, please borrow an instrument from a D1 or D2 student.
If an instrument breaks during a practical exam, please contact your Course Coordinator.

5. Carbide Burs

Once your bur credits have been used:

Carbide burs must be purchased in bundles.
Students may choose different bur types within the bundle.

Example:
If you require three (3) 556 burs, please specify which additional two (2) burs you would like included in the bundle.

6. Diamond Burs

Diamond burs may be purchased individually.

7. Teeth Exchanges

Teeth may be exchanged if they are:

Intact
Free of bur damage

Please indicate on the Order Form:

Item Returned: Returning 10 intact teeth
Exchanging For: 4 × Tooth #46, 4 × Tooth #36, 2 × Tooth #14

8. Exceptional Requests

Exceptional requests must be submitted directly to Dental Stores via email:

9. Bur Exchange (Class-Wide)

Classes wishing to exchange burs may do so at the beginning of Term II using the following process:

Sort similar burs into separate ziplock bags.
Label each bag with the total quantity.

Example:

All 556 burs in one bag with the total quantity identified.
All 245 burs in another bag with the total quantity identified.

The Class Representative must:

Provide Dental Stores with the quantities being returned.
Submit the quantities and types of burs requested in exchange.

Exchanged burs will be returned to the Class Representative, who will be responsible for distributing them to students.

10. Equipment Repairs

If you require equipment repairs, please email Nik (Equipment Repair Technician) and copy Dental Stores:

Items requiring repair will only be accepted by Dental Stores after a repair request email has been submitted and acknowledged by Nik.

11. Pricing Requests

Dental Stores staff will not provide special pricing quotations for dental items.

D2 Students

First Order Request Due: August 25, 2026, by 4:00 p.m.
First Order Pick-Up: August 28, 2026, at 11:55 a.m.

D1 Students

First Order Request Due: September 8, 2026, by 4:00 p.m.
First Order Pick-Up: September 11, 2026, at 11:55 a.m.
