D4 students,

There is an opportunity for a very limited number of D4 students to receive didactic and hands on training in nitrous oxide sedation. This training is outside of what is required through the D4 curriculum and would take place over a weekend in October or November 2026.

If you are interested in this training, please send me an email and detail why you need this training specifically. There will be only a few spots available so preference would be placed on students who can demonstrate how this training will benefit their current patient pool (chart number), perhaps if you are going to a clinic after you graduate that has this capacity (office name), or you will be attending a GDR program where this is a pre-requisite (name of program).

Essentially if you cannot demonstrate that you WILL be using this type of sedation within the next 12 months, then there is no value to you to take this course now. Pre-emptively taking this course because you think you may need it when you graduate will not help you. The certification will expire, and you will need to redo the training.

Please submit your email of interest and collaborative information to me by 15 September 2026.
