Sent on behalf of John Finch, Field Partner Liaison, Practicum & Partnerships Office:

There is a current opportunity to obtain paid lunch hour work at Whyte Ridge school (1.25 hours a day) assisting with the school lunch program. The school is specifically interested in Faculty of Education students for this work.  This is an excellent opportunity to see how schools function at a different level than practicum and meet some new teachers and administrators. You would not need to be available every day but even one day a week would help out the school immensely.  Please note that by accepting a position, as one of the lunchroom supervisors, you will not be able to participate in a practicum at Whyte Ridge school.  Please ensure that, if interested, participating would not in interfere with either your faculty-based coursework and attendance or practicum.

Lunch supervision pays $17.13 and hour for 1.25 hours. Hours are 11:00 – 12:15 Monday to Friday. Payroll and tax forms will be sent to you to fill out as well as Child Abuse Registry Check, Winnipeg Police Record Check, Workplace Safety Orientation information, and Commit to Kids.

Please contact Cyndi Tibbs at ctibbs@pembinatrails.ca if interested or you would like further information.

Thank you,
