Dear Food and Human Nutritional Sciences Community,
We have some
exciting news to share – for the very first time, a team from the University of Manitoba will be competing in the
Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) College Bowl Competition! 🎉 This amazing event will take place on
March 22nd at the University of British Columbia, where our talented team will represent the
Pacific Northwest Region.
Let’s give a huge round of applause to the students who earned their spot on this prestigious team, selected based on their outstanding performance
in last year’s FHNS-GSA Quiz Competition:

This remarkable accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of
Dr. Nandika Bandara, the primary advisor for the University of Manitoba IFTSA chapter, and
Dr. Cristina Rosell, Head of the Department of Food and Human Nutritional Sciences, along with our amazing support staff. We’re deeply grateful for their mentorship and guidance!
We’re beyond proud of our team and all the hard work they’ve put into preparing for this competition. Let’s rally behind them and cheer them on
as they compete at UBC – we can’t wait to see them shine and represent our department and
the University of Manitoba on this big stage!
Let’s show our team some love and support as they take on this incredible challenge. Go team, go!
🙌
Warmest regards,
Chamali Kodikara
