Dear MAHN Students,
Dr. Myrie and I have been successful in applying for and securing endowment funds to support some of the costs of mileage for your rural travel. If you drove to a rural placement (defined as a rural designated placement outside
of the Winnipeg perimeter) and you have not been fully reimbursed for mileage through other means you are eligible to submit a claim for reimbursement. All students that have mileage expenses that have not been reimbursed through other means will receive a
subsidy from the endowment fund up to a maximum of $400. We recognize that this may not cover all mileage or other expenses during rural placement. If you have remaining travel expenses after this reimbursement you may consider applying for a
Stewart Pugh travel award. You are eligible for this award even if the travel is already
completed.
