Hello All,

There are only two days left in your first placement!

Here are some reminders of upcoming tasks:.

  1. You must complete and submit your final student assessment for the first placement. Remember these must be completed, signed, and submitted in the presence of your preceptor! Do not rate yourself prior to reviewing with your preceptor. It is your preceptor’s role as your teacher to rate you in each category. Work with your preceptor to make sure they have set aside time today or tomorrow to meet with you to review and complete your form.
  2. By the beginning of next week , e-mail your preceptor(s) for next placement to introduce yourself. They have already received your portfolio and your placement schedule. If you have more than one preceptor on your precepting team, be sure to include all your preceptors in your communication (contact MAHN.info if you require the e-mail addresses for your preceptor team). Be sure to check your on-line (living) version of your placement schedule on Typhon in case there have been updates.
  3. Your honest feedback related to your placements is important to us! Please complete your placement evaluation survey by Sunday November 5th. This is a program requirement and late submissions will be treated as late assignments. You can access the survey on UM Learn by clicking on Assessments- Survey-MAHN Placement Survey. This survey is NOT anonymous however, individual feedback will NOT be shared with the preceptor or with anyone beyond MAHN program staff. At the end of the year, we will collate student feedback and will share high-level, anonymous feedback to all preceptors and to the FHNS Dietetics Committee.
  4. You must complete placement pre-readings by next Thursday. Please check your on-line schedules on Typhon to determine your assigned readings for your next placement. Quizzes for all assigned reading modules MUST be submitted and you must achieve 70% in order to proceed to your next placement .

Thank you,

Jessica
