Sending on Behalf of Dr. Semone Myrie, FHNS Associate Department Head- Dietetics Education:
Dear MAHN Students,
Jessica Rutherford, Master of Applied Human Nutrition (MAHN) Coordinator, will be stepping into a new position as an instructor in the department of Food and Human Nutritional Sciences. Her last day as MAHN Coordinator
will be Friday October 11. We are grateful for Jessica's dedication and contributions to the program, and we look forward to her continued impact in her new role.
Katrina Cachero, Preceptor Liaison, has agreed to serve a three-month term as Acting MAHN Coordinator. Katrina has demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining the high standards of our program. We are confident
that under her interim leadership, the program will continue to thrive. During Katrina’s tenure as Acting MAHN Coordinator, we will be reevaluating the MAHN program human resource needs and roles, and we are committed to moving towards a permanent hire soon.
Support from the program for students and preceptors will remain unchanged, with no impact on practicum placements or courses. While we anticipate a smooth transition, we understand that changes in program support can bring about questions and uncertainties.
Please know that we are here to support you through this transition. Should you have any questions or need further information, do not hesitate to reach out to
MAHN.info@umanitoba.ca.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the Master of Applied Human Nutrition Program.
Sincerely,
MAHN Program Team
