Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce the launch of the Emerging Researcher Spotlight Series, a six-part symposium designed to provide valuable insights into new and developing areas of research inquiry at the University of Manitoba. This series is dedicated to supporting early and mid-career researchers, offering them new resources and networking opportunities in 2024.

Details for Session #1 are as follows:

Date: Thursday, February 1, 2024

Time: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Venue: Multi-Purpose Room, UMSU University Centre, Fort Garry Campus

 

Registration is now open for this inaugural event! We invite you to participate by completing the registration form before Wednesday, January 24th. The invitation is also extended to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Featuring presentations by:

Attached is a slide featuring headshots of the presenters, accompanied by a word cloud encompassing all the keywords relevant to the topics highlighted in the upcoming first session.

Symposium Highlights:

Presentations by researchers in the early and mid-stages of their professional research journey, addressing important topics across a wide range of disciplines and faculties. Hosted by the Vice-President (Research and International) Office, each event will include presentations from five or more emerging experts as well as opportunities for networking and cross-departmental collaboration.

We believe that the Emerging Researcher Spotlight Series will significantly contribute to the growth and collaboration within our academic community. Your presence and support at these events would be highly appreciated.
