On behalf of the Experiential Learning team at CATL:

Welcome to the third year of the Experiential Learning Community of Practice (EL CoP)!

Since 2023, the Experiential Learning Community of Practice has brought together faculty and instructors across UM to support each other’s teaching, explore innovative approaches, and build connections around our shared passion for experiential education—from undergraduate research to creative works and industry collaborations.

Guided by our community’s feedback, we’ve been busy finding new ways to support your experiential learning practice. Below is an overview of our initiatives for this year.

I acknowledge the University of Manitoba campuses are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Ininew, Anisininew, Dakota Oyate, Dene and Inuit, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. I respect the treaties that were made on these territories and believe everyone deserves a life of health, dignity, kindness, and joy. In the spirit and intent of the treaties, I promise to listen and learn, in harmony with and respect for each other and the land. I dedicate myself to move forward in partnership with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
