Dear Colleagues,
We have a limited number of remaining spots still available in the previously advertised Mental Health First Aid training and would like to invite FKRM sessional instructors, particularly those with significant face-to-face teaching time
with our students, to register if interested.
Dates: Monday, April 20 AND Tuesday, April 21
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (both days)
Format: In-person (attendance at both sessions is required)
The training also includes a required short pre-session reading component. Registration costs will be covered through the FKRM Endowment Fund.
If you would like to participate, please complete the attached registration form and return it to
sarah.teetzel@umanitoba.ca by
March 6 so we can coordinate registrations internally.
This initiative is intended to support those teaching who wish to feel more confident and prepared when responding to student mental health concerns in academic settings.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
