Dr. Christine Doucette is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physi= ology and Pathophysiology, Max Rady College of Medicine, and a Principal In= vestigator within the DREAM Research Theme at the Children's Hospital Resea= rch Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM). She leads an internationally recognized,= CIHR- and NSERC-funded research program in metabolic and endocrine physiol= ogy, with a focus on pancreatic islet biology, diabetes, and the earliest p= hysiological origins of metabolic disease. Dr. Doucette brings extensive ex= perience in peer review through service on numerous national and internatio= nal grant review panels, including CIHR, Diabetes Canada, Diabetes UK and t= he CIHR-Netherlands Research Consortium. She currently serves as Chair of t= he CIHR Diabetes, Obesity and Lipids Peer Review Committee and has extensiv= e experience mentoring investigators in grant development, peer review, and= research funding.
