2. Song of Siren: JSA/WZI Israeli Film Festival
The
Song of Siren will be shown on Monday, February 28th at
7:30PM at the University of Winnipeg, Manitoba Hall - Room 4L47.
The Jewish
Students’ Association/Hillel invites everyone to attend. Admission
is free to students displaying
their student card and $5 for adults. Complimentary snacks are also
provided.

4. Internship
Position
fourth annual
Canada-Israel Committee
Parliamentary Internship Program
Description: The Canada-Israel
Committee Parliamentary Internship Program is an initiative of the
Canada-Israel Committee established as an annual competition for university
graduates who have an interest in governmental affairs. This internship program
provides back-bench Members of Parliament with highly qualified assistants, and
gives university graduates an opportunity to supplement their theoretical
knowledge of Parliament and the political process with practical experience of
the day-to-day work of the Members. Also, in the longer term, graduates of the program
are better able to make a significant contribution to Canadian public life.
Intern responsibilities will include working with Members of the House of
Commons. The internship program will begin in the fall of 2005 and conclude in
the spring of 2006.
Requirements: To be eligible you must be a Canadian citizen;
have a recent university degree and; have an interest in Parliament. This
internship is open to graduates of several disciplines, including the social
sciences, political science, law, and the humanities.
