The 2009-2010 university school year is coming to an end. Before we close up for the year though, we have some important information to share.

1) Please fill out our survey of this year's activities, available here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/YT7PGZV The survey is very quick and will take only a minute to do, but your feedback is very important to us and this is your chance to anonymously tell us what you think.

2) Be involved with JSA next year! Election information is coming very soon, so think about what role you might want to play in JSA in the 2010-2011 school year. New faces are definitely always welcome, and feel free to talk to either of us if you have any questions. If you didn't like what happened this year, then this is your chance to make those changes! Position descriptions will be released with election information, and chair positions could include more than one person.
Positions include: President/Vice-President (one per university)
Israel Affairs Chair (one per university)
Social Progamming Chair
  Social Action/Tzedek Chair
Shabbat Co-ordinator
Cultural/Religious Chair
Secretary/Media Correspondent/Treasurer

3) Yom Ha'atzma'ut - Israel's 62nd birthday - is coming up! In partnership with many organizations of the Jewish community of Winnipeg, JSA/Hillel is helping to produce an incredible Yom Ha'atzma'ut celebration, which will span the entire day and evening of Yom Ha'atzma'ut. It will be at the Asper Jewish community Campus with activities and programming for all ages and interests on Tuesday, April 20/2010.

FREE Program highlights include: Lively concert featuring entertainment from Israel as well as community performers, Israeli Scavenger Hunt for Tweens, Children’s activity fair featuring crafts, games, wall-climbing, music, art etc.,Family Swim, Shuk/Market, Israeli Café with food and desserts for sale, fireworks, dance party, and much more.

Volunteers are wanted to make this one of the best celebrations of Israel that the Winnipeg Jewish community has ever planned. If you're done exams already, or are able to take a few hours out from studying, it would be a HUGE help to make sure this event is awesome. Otherwise, your attendance would also be great. Attached is a volunteer application form that can be filled out and sent back to Einat Paz-Keynan (her info is on the attachment).

We wish everyone a happy Pesach and enjoy the macaroons and matzah,

Eyal Kraut and Ashley Faintuch
U of M & U of W JSA/Hillel Presidents
