• Défis pour une mise en œuvre efficace de la Convention sur le génocide – Panel organisé dans le cadre de la Conférence virtuelle mondiale « Commémorer les génocides passés et apprendre à prévenir les crimes d'atrocité » avec le Professeur Neuberger-Jesin John Packer, Yonah Diamond (Centre Raoul Wallenberg pour les droits de la personne) et Mustafa Chowdhury (Auteur). Le panel sera animé par Kyle Matthews (Institut montréalais d'études sur le génocide et les droits de la personne (MIGS), Université Concordia)

• La réponse du Canada à la crise ouïghoure – Apprenez ce qui arrive au peuple ouïgour, découvrez ce que le rapport qualifiant les actions de génocide signifie pour la réponse canadienne, et comment se mobiliser en solidarité avec les Ouïgours.

• Challenges for Effective Implementation for the Genocide Convention – Panel organized as part of the Global Virtual Conference on “Commemorating Past Genocides and Learning to Prevent Atrocity Crimes” organized by the Liberation War Museum (LWM) with Neuberger-Jesin Professor John Packer, Yonah Diamond (Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights) and Mustafa Chowdhury (Author). The panel will be moderated by Kyle Matthews (Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS), Concordia University).

• Canada's Response to the Uyghur Crisis – Learn what is happening to the Uyghur people, breaking down what the report deeming the actions as Genocide means for the Canadian response, and how to mobilize in solidarity with the Uyghurs.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! | IHL Now: A Special Online Learning Series

Because of COVID-19, our Centre and the Canadian Red Cross will partner again in the creation of a series of online lectures on International Humanitarian Law that will be held from May 31 to June 4, 2021. The goal of the lecture series is to offer students and professionals the fundamentals of IHL. Lectures will be facilitated by leading Canadian and international scholars and experts from the Canadian Armed Forces and international organizations.
