Subject: A Call for Proposals - A Half Century of Human Rights in Canada: A Critical Appraisal of 50 Years of the Twin Covenants in Canada

Hello Everyone,

The arrival of the new year is also a millstone for human rights in Canada, marking 50 years since Canada ratified the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), aka the ‘Twin Covenants’. The Canadian Journal of Human Rights and the Mauro Chair in Human Rights and Social Justice invite submissions for a proposed Special Issue examining Canada’s five-decade record of fulfilling its obligations under these two foundational international human rights law treaties.

Further details can be found in the attached call for proposals. Please distribute widely across your networks. Thank you.

All the best,

Nathan
