Hi there,

We have recently updated our EZProxy settings to authenticate users by user groups rather than a complicated combination of user groups and bar code ranges.  This has affected access for some hospital staff, all of whom were informed personally of the changes.

These changes also mean that a few people who may have previously had unauthorized access to UpToDate and LexiComp can no longer enjoy that privilege.  Access to those resources is permitted as following:

UpToDate: Faculty and Staff, Students, Hospital Staff.  ONLY these user groups have access.

LexiComp: Faculty and Staff, Students, Distance Education.  ONLY these user groups have access.

If a VR patron is wondering why they can no longer access either of these two resources please check their record in Alma to see what user group they belong to.  If they feel they are being unfairly denied access to UpToDate or LexiComp please refer them to me.

On another note, please remember that LibGuides may be offline for some time on Monday while I do the switch to the new version.
