There is an assignment on right now for organic chemistry students.  You may end up getting some questions through VR.  They need to find a melting point for a chemical substance.  They should start by  looking at the resources listed under “Starting Sources for Physical Property Data”.  You can refer them to this subject guide:  https://umanitoba.libapps.com/libguides/admin_c.php?g=297470&p=1993914 (It is the Organic Chemistry course guide under the Chemistry subject guide).  They can also email me if they need more information.

The students also need to find a journal article with the melting point. The best resource is SciFinder for this type of search.  There is a video on this same page (link on the left-hand side of the page) to “Using SciFinder to Find Property Data”.    Everyone needs to set up their own SciFinder account.  There is a link to SciFinder on the course guide page as well.
