Some workshops that may interest you include:
Pathing Your UMCareer- Resumes: Monday, February 3, 10:30am to noon. The newest edition to our series designed to support employees in career planning, this session covers how to craft
your resume in a way that showcases you as an applicant for a role within the University. Participants will have the opportunity to practice tailoring a resume to a job posting and receive strategies to prepare you to apply for future opportunities.
Critical Dialogues: Monday, February 3, 1:00 to 4:00 pm. If you work as part of a team, support others’ work, explain or share information, this communication skills workshop may
be helpful for you to learn more about how to have successful conversations. This workshop covers topics relating to clarity, nonverbal communication, listening, empathy, respect, feedback and more.
Making Meetings More Effective: Monday, February 10, 1:00 to 4:00pm. In this workshop, participants will examine the most common types of meetings including information sharing; decision
making; and process & planning. Using the CANOE model, participants will be able to plan and facilitate a structured and productive meeting.
Social Intelligence: Building Impactful Relationships: Monday, February 24, 1:00 to 4:00pm. By identifying the social intelligence characteristics within ourselves, and recognizing
these characteristics in others, participants will develop approaches to working with others more effectively.
Microsoft 365 sessions: I.S.T. Engagement Services provides several Microsoft 365 sessions covering topics related to Microsoft 365, Teams, Sharing Files, MS Forms
and more. Search for “M365” when you visit LODReg to see available options.
