The Heat Shield, a youth-led public health project addressing extreme heat, Canada’s deadliest climate hazard. The goal is to help make important heat-safety information more clear, practical, and accessible for communities, especially those most at
risk.
As a volunteer, you can get involved in:

Translating scientific and public health info into simple, practical resources

Creating “Resilience Kits” (checklists, FAQs, guides) for communities

Outreach to local organizations (e.g., libraries, community centres)

Building skills in research, communication, and community engagement
Participation is flexible, remote, and tracked through a central platform where you can also log volunteer hours and receive recognition.
Canadian Medical Association (CMA) Ambassador Program
A reminder that as a medical student or resident, you can join the
CMA Ambassador Program! As a CMA Ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to:
