We are excited to invite medical students from across Western Canada to join us in Vancouver, BC from February 26–28, 2027 for a weekend of learning, connection, and inspiration as we explore this year’s theme:

WMSS is an opportunity to connect with medical students from across the Western provinces and engage with the research and ideas shaping the future of medicine.

Whether you’re passionate about clinical medicine, research, advocacy, leadership, innovation, or simply looking to meet fellow students and build your network, WMSS 2027 is an event you won’t want to miss.

We also want to remind everyone of the abstract submission deadline and encourage you to show case your research at this year’s conference! 🩺🔬

This year’s theme is Sustainability, but abstracts from all fields of medicine are welcome — your research does not need to relate to the conference theme.

• Present your work as an oral or poster presentation
• Compete for Best Oral and Best Poster Presentation Awards
• Connect with medical students, clinicians, and researchers from across Western Canada

📝 Abstract requirements:
• Maximum 250 words
