Good morning,

As you may be aware, we currently have a search underway for a Department Head and Provincial Specialty Lead for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine co-chaired by Dr. Peter Nickerson, Dean and Vice-Provost (Health Sciences), University of Manitoba and Dr. José François, Provincial Chief Medical Officer, Shared Health, and Dr. Amin Kabani, Diagnostic Services Chief Medical Officer. We have invited one candidate, Dr. AbdulRazaq Sokoro to a public presentation, interview, and meetings with various stakeholders which will take place on Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11, 2026.

We are in process of scheduling 45-minute hybrid meetings and would like to have the candidate meet with the medical students. If you could please complete the form below by end of day on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, and share with all medical students, the majority date will be selected, and calendar invitations will be sent with details.
